The Old City is the unique and vibrant community nestled on the corner of Central and Jackson Ave. We love this area of downtown for its variety and charm: you can head to the Old City for a fancy dinner or a late night dance club; a hot coffee or a cold beer. New businesses continue to open up in the Old City, and yet at the same time, the old brick buildings and sounds of the railroad are grounding – somehow reminding us that Knoxville is a historic city, built up by hard work, mountain air, and a whole lotta southern scruff. (*wipes solitary tear as we stare off in the distance*)
