Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area Did you know South Knoxville bursts into a magical sunflower fairy land for a couple weeks most summers?? It is, quite frankly, the BEST.
These fields of sunflowers are bright, gorgeous, and what summer dreams are made of – but some years they are legitimately difficult to find. ENTER: The Knoxville Sunflower Festival! For just a few hours on Saturday, July 13th, you can get shuttled straight to the sunflowers and enjoy a guided hike of the fields. (Free shuttles will be running from 9a-1p from Maynard Glen Ballfield.) Enjoy views, hikes, merch, and food trucks as you make the most of this East Tennessee goodness.
