5 Ways to Keep Hangin' with Your New2Knox Hop

So you finally took the leap & participated in a New2Knox Hop. YAAAY 🤩🎉 We hope you had the best time exploring Knoxville & makin’ new friends right in your city… but now what? 👀 FEAR NOT, BABE. We’re here with tips & tricks to keep that text thread poppin’ & the party not-stoppin’. Without further ado, let the Knoxville adventures continueee!

1.) The Week 6

The unofficial Week 6 is our absolute favorite way to make hangin’ with your Hop pals a priority. You’ve already spent five weeks setting aside one day a week, so why not just… keep the party going? 🙌

On Week 5 (officially your final Hop), plan Week 6. On Week 6, plan Week 7. You get the pattern here 😉 Wednesdays from 6:30-8PM are officially booked until further notice ✌️

2.) The Big Event

Maybe you can’t commit to a weekly hang at the moment… that’s where “the big event” comes into play. Whether it’s a festival, tailgate, concert, or birthday party, put an upcoming “big event” on everyone’s calendar. Ideally you’ve got plenty of hangs in between, but something fabulous to look forward to can absoluuutely revive a wilting text thread 🙌

PRO TIP: Make it a tradition & throw it on the calendar every yeeear, baby!

FREE Craft Coffee Tasting at Five & Hoek EVERY First Friday from 1-2 PM!

Taste coffees from around the world with Five & Hoek owner, Tyler, every first Friday of the month from 1-2 pm. Learn what you like about certain coffees, how coffees are selected & how quality is maintained from roast to roast & cup to cup.

3.) The "Do You Want the House Tour?"

First, please tell me you sang that title in your best Sabrina Carpenter impression.

Anyway, you know a hack for jumping like three steps in a friendship? Invite ’em over. There’s a vulnerability in inviting people over to your home & sure, it can be a little intimidating to throw it out there at first… but that vulnerability is where the magic happens! 😍

Keep it simple by wearin’ pajamas, ordering pizza, crackin’ open a bottle of wine, and turning on your favorite flick. (Better yet, introduce everyone to your favorite guilty-pleasure TV show & get far too obsessed together.)

4.) The ✨Personalized✨ Hop

Folks are always giving us ideas for new Hops! And while weeee can’t offer all of them… you sure can! 😉 That’s right, consider this permission to come up with your very own Hop-With-Your-Hop 😂

Espresso Martini Hop? Make it happen. Crafting Hop? Incredible idea. Sports Hop? Slam dunk. Brunch Hop? Say LESS. Pick a day, open up that Notes App, and get to plannin’!

5.) The Book Club!

Word on the street is there are already a handful of New2Knox Hop Book Clubs floating around & when I tell you, we could not be more thriiiiilled! 😭🙌

Take the reins & throw a book suggestion, location, and date into the group thread. Don’t worry, you can work out the details later 😂 In the meantime, your brand new book club with your brand new besties has been born!

6.) The New2Knox Hop Alumni Events!

Take advantage of those N2K Hop alumni events, babe! These are open to everyone who has been in a New2Knox Hop, but they can be a particularly helpful tool for any Hops whose hangs have become a hair too few & far between. Jumpstart that text thread with a, “Who’s coming with me to this Hop Alumni event?! 🎉” Needless to say, we can’t wait to see you there 😊💛

YOU GOT THIS!

We are proud of you for saying yes & showing up all five weeks for your New2Knox Hop BUT hopefully the adventures & friendships have really just begun 🥲💛 Life is better in community & Knoxville is more fun with friends. See you around town, pals, & know we’re here for you always!
