INTRODUCING
BEARDEN
Located just a few miles west of downtown, Bearden is a great place to live for grad students, families, and young professionals. However, “Bearden” is a bit of a loose term. It can be referring to both a small section of Kingston Pike just west of downtown… or basically all of Kingston Pike (which runs parallel to I40 for… ever??) between campus and Cedar Bluff.

All the local spots for thrifting, eating & sippin'! (Nostalgia, The Plaid Apron, & Abridged are some of our favorites in each category.)
This area of town is arguably the most convenient for those who take advantage of Knoxville's greenway system!
Sequoyah Hills is a historic neighborhood worth heading to for a stroll down the boulevard, a hang in the park, or an afternoon brunchin' & book buyin'.

Kingston Pike is the main drag and she can definitely get bogged down by traffic - especially on UT game days!
Bearden is honestly a great mix of neighborhoods and retail/entertainment. Kinda the best of both worlds!
