First Friday Downtown

Art, Culture, (and Snacks), Oh My!

Art, Culture, (and Snacks), Oh My!

Downtown Knoxville erupts into a magical land of art, culture, and (free!) wine and snacks on the First Friday of each month! Businesses transform into galleries, while restaurants and bars host a myriad of performances from comedy to music to poetry. Map out your First Friday experience, or simply park and stroll – either way, you’re sure to come out of the experience very fancy and impressive 😉

Pro-Tip: We suggest starting around the 100 Block of Gay St. around 5pm and working your way through the Old City. But make sure to hit staples like The Emporium*, Visit Knoxville, and the Art Market!

THIS MONTH:
⭐️ Pretentious Glass will be open with glass demos – snag a beer from next door & watch the magic happen!
⭐️ In the Old City, peruse a street market or beat the heat & head inside spots like Dogwood Arts, Awaken Coffee, Able Trade, and Rala to enjoy art, live music and refreshments.
⭐️ Want some friends to explore with? Start makin’ new friends right here!

*The Emporium is closed for renovations for August’s First Friday but will be back open by September’s.
