First Friday Downtown

Art, Culture, (and Snacks), Oh My!

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Downtown Knoxville

Art, Culture, (and Snacks), Oh My!

Downtown Knoxville erupts into a magical land of art, culture, and (free!) wine and snacks on the First Friday of each month! Businesses transform into galleries, while restaurants and bars host a myriad of performances from comedy to music to poetry. Map out your First Friday experience, or simply park and stroll – either way, you’re sure to come out of the experience very fancy and impressive 😉

Pro-Tip: We suggest starting around the 100 Block of Gay St. around 5pm and working your way through the Old City. But make sure to hit staples like The Emporium and the Art Market!

THIS MONTH:
⭐️
First “Fright” Day Market in the Old City 🎃
⭐️ The first “Cameo Sessions” inside the new Tennessee Theatre addition!
⭐️ Pretentious Glass will be open with glass demos & the brewery next door is hosting a Poetry Open Mic at 8pm.
⭐️ Union Ave Books is hosting a Poetry Night as weeeell!
⭐️ In the Old City, check out spots like Dogwood Arts, Awaken Coffee and Able Trade to enjoy art, live music and refreshments.
⭐️ Want some friends to explore with? Start makin’ new friends right here!
