Tennessee Theatre Trampled by Turtles, formed in Duluth, Minnesota in 2003, started when frontman Dave Simonett lost all his gear to thieves—except his acoustic guitar. He turned that setback into a bluegrass-inspired, genre-bending band, mixing folk, bluegrass, and rock with a wild, high-energy sound. With fiddler Ryan Young (a former speed metal drummer) and the rest of the crew, they’ve been making music that’s fast, fun, and totally unique ever since. Catch them live at the Tennessee Theatre on January 25th – you won’t want to miss it! 🙌
