Walk for Water
at Zoo Knoxville!Taking a walk around the Knoxville Zoo is a lovely way to spend a spring Saturday, period. We’re talkin’ lion & tigers & splash pads, oh my. BUT WAIT – on April 5th, you can supplement that already lovely scenario by walking for a purpose! Walk for Water Knoxville will be held the morning of Saturday, April 5 at Zoo Knoxville to raise awareness of the global water crisis. More than 2.2 billion people around the world don’t have easy access to clean, safe water. In many countries, women and children walk more than three miles each day to retrieve water for their families that is often unsafe to drink. By participating in the Walk for Water, you can get a small gljmpse of that experience by walking several miles with a bucket of water, raise awareness for the crisis, and help Water Mission provide accessible, lifesaving safe water solutions for communities in need around the world.
