Fort Sanders is quite cozy with the University of Tennessee’s campus which means it’s definitely the place to be on game day. The main drag called โThe Stripโ is packed with fans, tailgaters, and students alike, all ready to cheer on the Vols and have a dang good time doing it. BUT tailgating is certainly not the only reason to head to Fort Sanders! Itโs a walkable dream, home to local businesses and Victorian houses; and it backs up to Worldโs Fair Park giving you a wonderful view of the โจiconicโจ Sunsphere.

Walk the sidewalks & peruse colorful historic homes (often clad with UT flags & decor). Youโre just a quick stroll from the Knoxville Art Museum & World's Fair Park!
Enjoy shopping, eating, and drinking on the Strip - especially fun before attending UT games.

๐ฅAJ (one of the owners) moved to Knoxville as a kid after her mom brought the fam to the Worlds Fair. Mom loved it so much that she packed the fam up & moved them all the way from Phoenix just a couple months later ๐๐ And because of AJโs momโs choice, my Tennessee home now gets to smell deliciously like wassail ๐๐๐ Thanks, AJโs mom!
