Remember those intro-montages on films in the 90s – the beautiful homes and gardens, kids playing in the street, and people walking dogs? We’re pretty sure every one of those was filmed in Island Home. The Island Home neighborhood is situated near the blossoming South Knoxville, close to breweries and food trucks – and yet, definitely has a more suburban feel. Walk around the neighborhood and swoon over the gorgeous houses – or head to the park of the same name.

A picnic at the park, overlooking the river, with small planes occasionally flying overhead is a faaabulous way to spend a weekend afternoon

No new construction over here so homes get bought faster than you can say "Houses don't come on the market very much inside the Island Home neighborhood" 😉
This is overall a pretty walkable place to live - even quick access to a greenway near the park!
