Market Square
Market Square is in the literal heart of downtown Knoxville. Locals and visitors alike love our city’s square and keep it buzzing from morning to evening. Local shops, restaurants, and bars line both sides. You can hang out on a patio or rooftop, saunter through the Farmers Market, or take a moment to enjoy one of the many street performers. (You’re not truly a local until you’ve seen the man perform with a saw, or been friendily-forced to play the violin 😂)
Make sure to keep an eye out for special occasions too: Market Square is home to things like Summer Movie Nights, seasonal concerts, and various free festivals.
