While we adore sharing our favorite spots and keeping you up to date on all things Knoxville, Small Groups are where we get to put down the screens and be face to face – inside the very businesses we love to gush about.
In a New2Knox Small Groups, you get to explore your new city for five weeks with the same 6-8 people. Your friendly Small Group Guide will help break the ice and be your personal friendship guru as you get exclusive looks into some of Knoxville’s favorite businesses. And let’s be real, sometimes hanging out with new people is just awkward – but by week five, you’ll be old pals (and Knoxville experts to boot!).
Basically, you get to know your new city and your new best friend, all in one experience!

I moved to Knoxville in the middle of the pandemic and I knew making friends would be difficult during this time. When I saw New2Knox posted about small groups, I knew this was the ticket. I met three fantastic women and Emily was an incredible host. Not only did I discover new places in this sweet city, but I found genuine friendships to lean on. Joining New2knox has made the world of difference to me living here.
The New2Knox small group was such a fun experience. I got to meet several awesome gals, explore Knoxville’s coffee and food, and try out hand-lettering with a pro. Two years later, I still keep up with several of these ladies, whether it’s grabbing drinks or hiking in the mountains. I’m grateful for the friendships formed through the small groups.
The small group might have only lasted for 5 weeks but the friends and good times are still going long after. Seriously, if you’re looking for ways to meet new people, expand your friend group, opportunities to explore more of Knoxville, or even a group to watch "The Bachelor" with every Monday, joining a New2Knox small group is a must. These groups are such a gem and truly one of the greatest parts of this city. I’m so thankful for all the friends I’ve made through New2Knox.
